Method
A. Use basic fuchsin solution to saturate the exhibit, or drop the solution onto the exhibit with a pipet. Rinse off the basic fuchsin on the background with water. The basic fuchsin adheres to the grease in the fingerprints to make the prints red.
B. Irradiate the fingerprint with 510nm light, view the exhibit through a red barrier filter, and the fluorescent red fingerprint can be seen.
